What are you going to do?
As a Technical Documentation Engineer, you are responsible for managing, improving, and keeping up-to-date all technical product documentation within De Wild. You work closely with Engineering, Marketing, and other departments to ensure that technical information is correct, complete, and accessible to colleagues, dealers, and end-users.
You will be entering a role that is still developing. Therefore, we are looking for someone with experience who not only works accurately but also identifies opportunities for improvement and takes initiative.
Your duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and update all technical documentation in a central environment, including version control and revisions.
- Drafting, updating, and managing user manuals, assembly instructions, parts catalogs, and other technical documentation.
- Processing changes for product updates, new models, and product variations.
- Gathering and translating technical information from Engineering into clear and usable documentation.
- Support in managing and updating technical files and CE-related documentation.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in documentation management and information provision.
- Create, manage, or coordinate technical visualizations, such as exploded views and assembly instructions.
- Providing technical product information for brochures, websites, and other marketing materials.
This is you
- HBO work and thinking level, with demonstrable experience in a technical and/or documentation-oriented work environment.
- Experience with technical documentation and document management.
- Technical insight and affinity with mechanical engineering or technical products.
- Knowledge of CE directives and technical files, and the willingness to delve further into these.
- Experience with Autodesk (Inventor and Vault).
- Experience with graphic tools like Illustrator and InDesign.
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
- Structured, analytical, strong communicator.
- Proactive, independent, and hands-on.
- Someone who takes ownership and identifies and implements improvements.
